A phone app that helps users to buy train tickets in a fast and convenient way.
Student project made entirely by myself in November – December 2019
Current apps take a lot of time and effort to buy a train ticket. Many passengers do not have time to struggle with complicated interfaces. They need to purchase the ticket fast and border the train right away.
I started with the internet research on how people tend to buy tickets. After reading several articles and overlooking similar apps, I clearly understood that the process of buying a ticket should not take more than a couple of minutes. Thus, I have created the most simple flowchart.
After that I started to ask myself different questions to understand what kind of issues the might the user have while using the app.
I have created a mind map of things to include in the app.
After answering the questions I asked myself and having more clear idea of the user flow, I updated a flowchart. I am gonna show this flowchart again with the final solution to showcase how this simple user flow turned into the real desing.
The prototype process I have started with the low-fidelity wireframes.
After having a general understanding of how the City Train app should look like
